With many years’ experience in management and at director level, both directors of hdc have a breadth of knowledge and skills that are used to run the business on a daily basis.

From sales and marketing to finance and IT, the directors have all the experience and education to keep the wheels of hdc turning and focussed on customer satisfaction.

Derek Young

Sales Director

Derek is our Sales Director and founded hdc back in 1997. Derek is an avid fan of Duran Duran and has been to see them live over 25 times, on an unrelated note Derek is banned from choosing/picking any music in the office.

Robin Clark

Operations Director

Robin is our Operations Director and has been with hdc since 2006. Robin is a fully paid up member of the Barmy Army and attends as many Cricket games as he can. Robin has a red & white Suzuki gsxr 750, or gixxer to those in the know, that appears every time the sun is out.

The sales administration departments goal is to make you happy.  We are committed to providing customer service to the highest standards.  A key to the success of our team is through the knowledge of our products.  Our role is to provide you with a point of contact and assistance from a simple sample request to discussing a suitable delivery date for your order.

The sales administration team’s objectives are to:

Jade is our Customer service manager she has been a member of hdc since 2003, Jade’s fun fact is that she met her husband who also worked for hdc 10 years ago and they now have a hdc baby boy, 123….Awww

Jim Watt

Sales and Print Consultant

Jim is a print consultant and has been with hdc since 2017. Jim is a bit of a world traveller and has been to New York, Dubai, Tenerife and Dubai again in the last 12 months. Jim still wears sun glasses from 1987 that he purchased for his first trip to Rhodes, he has been back 30 times!

Lisa Mcleod

Sales Administration Assistant

Lisa is a Sales administration assistant and has been with hdc from 2010. Lisa is a massive Craig David Fan, so much so that she is travelling to Ibiza to see him this summer.

Jackie Gallagher

Sales Administration Assistant

Jackie is a Sales administration assistant and joined hdc in 2005. Jackie loves to hit the theatres in the west end and is addicted to the home shopping network.

Kirsty Bolton

Sales Administration Assistant

Kirsty B is a Sales administration assistant and joined hdc in 2016. Kirsty B has bungee jumped twice, once in Amsterdam and once in Glasgow. She also has a rescue dog called Mitzi who she spoils rotten.

Emma Carroll

Sales Administration Assistant

Emma is a Sales administration assistant and has been with hdc since 2017. Emma recently graduated university with a Business degree and spent the summer inter-railing around Europe and visited Germany, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Hungary & Italy all in one month!

Our creative graphic designers each bring a unique set of skills to the team, ranging from typesetting and desktop publishing to illustration and digital media.

Carrie Greenfield

Design Manager

Carrie is our Design manager and has been with hdc since 2002. Carrie can play the trumpet and has a serious dislike for all cheese sauces so keep the macaroni away!

Kirsty Taylor

Design Team Leader

Kirsty T is our Design team leader and became a member of hdc in 2010. Kirsty T is the original Kirsty and visited hdc when she was a pupil for her yearbook committee. Kirsty has also been a bridesmaid a whopping 7 times!

Greg Robertson


Greg is one of our Graphic designers and became part of the hdc family in 2003. Greg is a self-confessed classic television and music geek and spends a lot of time rummaging around in second hand music shops. Greg also digitally illustrates classic television and film star portraits!

Matthew Gardiner


Matthew is a Graphic designer and joined hdc in 2014. Matthew often throws himself at walls at the local Climbing Academy and enjoys playing video games with his partner, Lauren, who also works at hdc. Matthew has a metal plate in his jaw which means that airports are always fun!

Euan Paton


Euan is a Graphic designer and started hdc in 2017. Euan recently received a first from Aberdeen University in communication design. Euan lived in America and Germany for two years each when he was younger and can still speak some German.

Harry McCluskey

Production Manager

Harry is our Production manager and joined hdc in 2003. Harry comes to work every day on his pride and joy, a jet black Honda 500 motorbike. Harry is also a star wars superfan.

John Stevenson

Production Assistant

John is one of our Production assistants and joined hdc in 2010. John is an avid superhero fan however he cannot make a decision between Marvel and DC Comics so please don’t ask!

Lauren Stevenson

Production Assistant | Photographer

Lauren is both a Production assistant and our Photographer and started hdc in 2012. Lauren is quite obsessed with comics and KVD make up. Lauren also works with her other half, Matthew, in Design when editing your photos and her dad in production during the spring and summer!
